We've heard lots of rumors. Which ones are true? Where exactly did this ancestor come from? Who were his parents?

It is rumored that he arrived in America with his brother. Do you know where he came from and who is parents are? Who is his brother?

Some genealogists claim she is a Wentworth, but we can not find any verification for this. Any help on this is appreciated.

This was a very common name at the time. Born about 1850 in Sweden (exact location unknown) and died probably in Minnesota (exact date and location unknown). Any information on parentage or vital statistics is appreciated.

According to http://members.cox.net/lewisandclark/dame.htm, Pvt John Dame (b 1784, Pellingham, NH) joined the Corps of Artillery for the Lewis and Clark expedition in 1801. Who are his parents? He probably descended from our John Damme, but how?

There are numerous people named "John Dame" and most of them are probably related. The John has many descendants, but where is he from. Do you know his parents?
